As for today's "Sporty Saturday", I just want to share about the result of the Moto3 Qualification today. As you know, one rider in the Moto3 is from Malaysia, Zulfahmi Khairuddin. And for today qualification, Zulfahmi manage to secure the 10th place on the starting grid. This are the rest result, courtesy from crash.net.

And as for the Thomas Cup tournament in Wuhan China, the host nation giving Malaysia a cold "hospitality" as Malaysia training session for the match court was only last for an hour. I just don't get it. Malaysia is not a favorite in this tournament as this team is not a strong team. In fact, most Malaysian knows that. We didn't give high hope on this team. So, why give them such a cold treatment when they're not such a threat to them? I don't know what else to say.

You're Fans of Soccer/Football or Field Hockey? Head to My New Blog!

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Sporty Saturday". Nothing much today to write as I'm writing right now, there are some Super League matches going on. And don't forget to watch tomorrow Junior Asia Cup Hockey 2012 between Malaysia vs Pakistan at 8pm live on Astro Arena channel 801. Not sure whether there is other station to broadcast that match.

This is gonna be a short entry again. Why? Because I just want to promote my new blog, suddenly launched this Tuesday. The blog is called "Between The Post". Don't ask me why I pick that name. The name just pop into my mind at one early morning. Just like the name, "Between The Post" is all about sports which featured "Goal Post", like soccer/football, field hockey, or maybe some futsal. But mainly about soccer/football and mostly about Malaysian football. Notice I mention field hockey and not hockey because I really don't know anything about ice hockey which is a BIG SPORT in USA. Final English FA Cup: Chelsea VS Liverpool

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Sporty Saturday". Today I would like to talk about this "late night" match. A match that is a final match. It's the English FA Cup Final between Chelsea vs Liverpool. Honestly, I'm not a fan of foreign league. But English league is the most popular league in the world. Maybe not the best, but it is a popular league at least in here, Malaysia.

I MAY not watching this match because as I said I'm not a big fan of foreign league. Beside I'm tired right now because today was a hectic day. I first went to the Book Fair at PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre) and there are so many people and it was damn crowded there. Maybe tomorrow is the end of the fair. Then, I persuade my family to watch "The Avenger" in 3D. As a result, I just arrive home and I'm pretty sure I'm tired right now.

Back to the topic, today's match is between two big name in the English league. I can't say big giant to liverpool anymore because they're not in the top 5 in the league anymore, but still they have a big name known worldwide until this day. So, it's still going to be a popular match watched today. My brother is a Liverpool fan and my sister is a chelsea fan. But, both of them are NOT A BIG FAN. My brother was quite a big fan but not very much today. You can say I'm a Arsenal fan but also not a big fan.

Based on achievement, I can say Chelsea have the upperhand on this match because they just took out Barcelona, the defending champion in the UEFA Champions League and going to the Final UCL. Liverpool? I'm not sure because I didn't follow much about them. Sure, they've won some match but if I'm not mistaken, they lost in their last match right?

Nonetheless, I hope it will be an entertaining match to their fans and to the neutral viewers like me.

Malaysia FA Cup, F1 Bahrain GP

Assalamualaikum and welcome to Infinitesane "Sporty Saturday" for today. I just watched Semi Final Malaysia FA Cup first leg between Terengganu vs Premier League (second division) Sime Darby and guess what? Sime Darby won!

I really want Sime Darby to win this match because I love to see drama in a tournament. Plus, my team was already eliminated by Johor FC which then eliminated by Sime Darby at both leg. So, I don't have my favorite anymore. That's why I didn't hope much for Sime Darby to go through to the final. However, Sime Darby did what I wrote in "my script". They've won against the defending champion and at Terengganu home ground! I really hope that they'll go through the final and win the cup as the first club to win the FA Cup. MPPJ (now MBPJ) won Malaysia Cup as the only club (by far) that manage to win a cup in Malaysia because here in Malaysia, our football/soccer scene are dominated by state Football Association.

Sime Darby is really happy right now as their import player, Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh is really play at a quality which an imported player should performed. And, he is still young compared to other teams' import players. Other team tend to sign older player. I don't know why. Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh is just 20 years old. Man...he is younger than me...

For another semi final match between Kelantan and Kedah, the final result is 1-1. And fans very furious about the referee performance tonight. I don't know cause I didn't watch it because I watch another match.

As for the F1 Bahrain GP, nothing unwanted scene happen for today qualifying round. It's just Michael Schumacher starting at 17th place. Don't know what really happen though cause I'm out and miss watching it.

We're Relying Lee Chong Wei too Much!

Assalamualaikum, good day and welcome to Infinitesane "Sporty Saturday". I decided to write this entry long ago, but I don't know what's holding me back. Turns out, the thing that holding me back is Lee Chong Wei autobiography book. He wrote a book about himself and I bought it last week.

"Dare to be a Champion" written by Lee Chong Wei. I'm not sure whether it is really written by him because he's too busy. Maybe somebody else writ it while he just tell the story. However I'm not going to tell you about that book just yet because I'm not yet finish reading them. What I'm trying to tell you all here is the dependancy to Lee Chong Wei (LCW).

Have you watch Axiata Cup last week and a week before? If you don't know what Axiata Cup is, I've wrote an entry about it here. We already know that LCW not perticipating in that tournament because of his shoulder injury that happen in All England which costing him the title. Axiata Cup is the tournament between South East Asia countries and from that tournament we can see that without LCW, we definitely a second place in this region. We always get a second place in this region recently. Sepak Takraw, we're always behind Thailand and slowly other country are getting better. We even lose to Indonesia at SEA Games. In badminton, without LCW, we're definitely no doubt are behind Indonesia.

The senior team were lost against second team Indonesia! Hafiz Hashim, sometime he's good, sometime he's so annoying (the way he play). I just too dissappointed with him because he's tall. Why don't he use his advantage to dominate the opponent? He's not agile enough, he get tired too quick. I'm not sure about this, can a player at his age will gain fitness? I REALLY REALLY HOPE he'll overcome his fitness and agility problem because he is a promising player (eventhough he's not young anymore). Don't he remember he was once won All England?

Let's talk about Liew Darren and Arif Latif. They look young right? Well Liew Darren is 25~26 years old and Arif Latif is 23 years old. Let see who else in this age. I give you two name, Kenichi Tago and Chen Long are also 23 years old. Kenichi Tago is even younger than me! (I consider myself still young). But just see how well they do in the international stage. At least we always see them (Kenichi Tago and Chen Long) played in quarter final in any tournament right? Where is Liew Darren and Arif Latif? They seems they need more basic knowledge even at their age. Okay, Liew Darren is quite good recently in this year All England. But, Arif Latif? I always notice when I watch Arif Latif played, his smash are not sharp at all. It seems loose and will easily countered by his opponent. As for Liew Darren, he is good but need to work on accuracy. He got skill, but sometime he cannot execute the finishing as he wanted. he always throws points to opponent, just like the junior team, but as for junior it is a different story.

Malaysia sent their Under-21 team to compete in Axiata Cup as second team. Yes, they also lost to Indonesian team, both team. However, they played much entertaining match compared to their senior team matches. They show more compassion, they are more eager to win eventhough on the paper, they don't stand a chance. Misbun Ramdan, son of Malaysian lagend, Misbun Sidek manage to "steal" a set from Indonesia no.1 player, Taufik Hidayat. I'm unfortunate to miss all Zulfadly matches because whether I'm out or I have to give away my mother chances to watch TV. However, the third single, Iskandar Zulkarnain is also VERY VERY entertaining matches. He is so passion in the game, sometime he act like Taufik Hidayat when he is still young. A little bit naughty but Taufik Hidayat was an awesome player back there, while Iskandar not yet an awesome player. Overall, this youngster need to learn quick and improve FAST so that they can save Malaysia from being in the "ROCK BOTTOM" (yes, pun is partly intended). They need to work on accuracy and sharpness in the match.

The double match as for senior, I don't know what to say because they sometime awesome, sometime awful. They're too unconsistent. That's all my comment. As for the junior squad, they're good but not good enough to be top player. They need to be more clever when dealing much superior opponent. And they need to learn how to manage their pressure. There is sometime they so near to win but in the end lost the game because of the pressure.

I think that's all for now. I'm always enjoy watching LCW played. But I'm more enjoy if there is more Malaysian player in the final in any tournament. And our mixed double are also growing well, I'm also enjoy watching them played. We need to improve fast before other countries manage to surpass us and I hope it will not going to happen.

p/s: We're so panic when we know LCW was injured in All England. We know if he got injured and Olympic is just a few month, our first olympic gold medal are getting away.
